Lazy 03:03
Now why would i wanna be part of the world that’s moving so fast Now I’ve got a moment to myself at last Look at all those idiots running from A to B When next on my agenda is going back to bed with a cup of tea I don’t want money or material things to get me off As long as I’m here with you and we’ve nothing to do Then everyone else can get lost You know I’m just lazy Yeah you know I’m just lazy You and me have had our fair share of people bringing us down Thank god, they’re no longer around Thinking they know best, never give it a rest Going on and on all the time Without grasping the important concept that these lives are yours and mine I don’t want money or material things to get me off As long as I’m here with you and we’ve nothing to do Then everyone else can get lost You know I’m just lazy Yeah you know I’m just lazy We’ll always be the same Always be the same Now why would i wanna be part of the world that’s moving so fast Now I’ve got a moment to myself at last Look at all those idiots running from A to B I wouldn’t even if I had the energy (la la la la) I don’t want money or material things to get me off As long as I’m here with you and we’ve nothing to do Then everyone else can get lost You know I’m just lazy Yeah you know I’m just lazy

Comedy Songs 00:55
Comedy songs, comedy songs They’re never really that funny Comedy songs, comedy songs Most of them are just crummy They can be rather clever - such impressive endeavours But the jokes wouldn’t work on their own So put in some nice chords and you’ll reap the rewards Then we can all go home My heart starts to sink and I’m close to the brink Of killing you with your own ukulele Comedy songs, comedy songs And this was one of the worst

Dear Sir 03:21
I don’t know what you’re doing here You’ve been hanging around for years Why did you come back? You don’t do anything for me Except to raise my blood pressure And make me want to start a fight Yeah we all wish you weren’t here Yeah we all wish you weren’t here Pack your things Clear your desk by noon Cos we’ve got some celebrating to do When you’ve fucked off Yeah we all wish you weren’t here Yeah we all wish you weren’t here Crawl back under the rock you came from It’s me you should be worried about We tried to have a whipround but the only way of getting any money was to promise that we’d force feed the coins to you Stuffing notes up your nose to ensure there really isn’t any risk of survival. No risk of survival This is possibly the best example of an increase in morale that I have ever seen in all my years as office manager so in many ways I really can’t deny that I'm thankful to you for allowing me to experience this moment that I will cherish forever. this moment that I will cherish forever. this moment that I will cherish forever. Everybody says so Everybody says so this moment that I will cherish forever. this moment that I will cherish forever. this moment that I will cherish forever. Everybody says so Everybody says so Everybody says so Everybody says so

about

Another nice set of songs that were kicking around for a bit and we banged out really quickly. Dave and Jon are so good that we hadn't even rehearsed these once before going into the studio. It felt like these songs all worked together in a stripped down acoustic way, although Dave did about a thousand backing vocal tracks on Roof of my Mouth.

Lazy, Roof of my Mouth and the first part of Dear Sir were written quite a while ago, although the closing part of Dear Sir was very recent. I wrote Comedy Songs for the Edinburgh show I was doing in 2014, but then cut it for time.

The cover photo was a quick selfie taken about a week ago after a rehearsal for the next album. I think Dave is actually still on the phone to Aaron from Mesadorm.

Again, I'm very pleased with how this turned out and thanks for checking it out!
